I'm super excited for the release of "This Day." This was the song that wasn't a song. I had a melody floating around inside of my head for a while because I had been looking for ways to point myself towards JOY. So, I figured I would write my own mantra. A song that I could sing to act as a realignment and remind for me to stay in the present and grateful.

I didn't think too much about "This Day" at first and really didn't know if I wanted to record it. After playing it for Reid, he immediately said, "I love it, let's record it." So we began laying tracks and working on the production. One of the tragic things that happened during the recording of this song was the passing of "Olive" a very special cat to our son Reid. On the day he picked up her remains we huddled and cried at the animal clinic. When we got back to our house and after dinner, Reid played tracks that he had added and said, "This song saved me today." Through all of his grief and pain he was able to produce "This Day." I hope that you find your own Joy even through pain and maybe "This Day" can point you in a different direction if only for a few minutes.
Love, Light & Laughter,
Gina
