Make Your Move

This song began one evening as I waited online for a music therapy Telehealth client to join me on Zoom. I began noodling around on my guitar while I waited and came up with the riff that became the glue of the song. The pandemic had taken so much of my normal life away and I missed the young adult “kids” in my life. It was very clear how important they were and how much my heart wanted to see them even briefly. Now fast forward a year and I’m grateful things look different. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful, intelligent, smart, empathetic, funny, and fun-loving “kids” in my life. All of these people (you know who you are) bring me such joy! There’s something very special about watching these “kids” grow and prosper and make their mark on the world. I feel a deep sense of pride for each of them and love hearing about their lives. As anyone can attest, adulting is challenging. There’s always a curve, mountain, or a deep cavern that you never expect. Watching their lives bloom and take flight is simply the best. Let's face it, getting the knowledge that you need for adulthood isn’t easy. I think it’s harder than ever personally. Cheer’s to all the special, beautiful, bright shining lights in your universe.
